How It Feels to Be Something On is the third studio album by American rock band Sunny Day Real Estate, and the first since their 1997 comeback. It was released September 8th, 1998. Noteworthy is the use of the words "darium" and "mondrary" which do not exist in the English language.

Recording Sessions
The album was recorded between March 10, 1998 and April 26, 1998. Some tracks with alternate mixes have surfaced on the Internet. Most don't differ much from the released versions, however, "Roses in Water" features an extended ending.
